One of a seemingly endless parade of balls held during the winter in Vienna, this is among the most glamorous and most difficult to get tickets for. This ball is held at the splendid, opulent Hofburg Palace, and those who score tickets had better come dressed for the occasion: ankle-length dresses for the ladies and tuxedo with white tie for the gents.
