The Asola wildlife sanctuary is located at the southern extreme of Delhi. The road to the sanctuary is considered to be the most beautiful drive in Delhi with lush greenery and pink bougainvillea bushes on both sides. Along the same road is the entrance to a shooting range. The sanctuary covers an area of 26 sq kilometers. Though not much wildlife exists in Asola anymore, the sanctuary is a haven for smaller birds and animals. There are two entrances into this area. One has a main office with guides and the second one is an almost hidden opening in the foliage off the main road. This side has no guides to accompany you and no proper tracks to follow. It's just a beautiful walk through some impressive scrub jungle.
