First time at Lupa without pasta!
My husband and I have been to Lupa several times and we always gravitate to the homemade pasa dishes. But last night, I tried the seared tuna on a bed of sauteed spinach with tomatoes - it was just delicious. My husband had the orchiette with sausage - okay so I did have a nite of his. No room for any dessert this time. Really our favorite Italian place when we want to eat well.

As good as in Rome
I recently spent a month in Rome and enjoyed some of the best food in my life. When I got back, a friend suggested I try Lupa Trattoria. It's a cozy unpretentious place in Noe Valley but very nice and comfortable. We were met enthusiastically by an Italian waiter. Many of the items on the menu were very similar to the great food from Rome. So we tried about half of the menu. Everything was amazing. The risotto special especially stood out in my mind. And the tiramisu. We'll be back!
