A relatively short history accompanies this museum which was only established in 1983. Under the direction of the Cultureel Centrum van Aruba the museum was finally completed after the restoration of the Fort Zoutman Willem III Tower. Today, it is under the direction of the Fundacion Museo Arubano, offering visitors information on the establishment and political history of the Island.
