Nestled within the plush environs of the prestigious NYU, Grey Art Gallery is a university museum and a veritable cache of visual arts. Habituating in the Silver Center, the gallery is known for its exhibitions in sculpture, printmaking, photography, and other media. In addition, the Grey also hosts traveling exhibitions, conducts lectures, and sponsors public programs. The art collection consists of more than 6000 items, by well-known artists like Picasso, Gottlieb, Miro, and Gorky. The place is definitely worth a visit, especially if you have a collector's eye.
