As if Palermo was lacking in places to shop, weekends in Plaza Serrano buzz with a clothing market that extends outward from the square into Palermo Soho. Featuring mostly women's fashions and accessories, stalls in and around the square are packed with bargain buys, many of which are hand-crafted by local artisans. The popular boutiques and cafes in the surrounding area are also open for your further diversion. Note that newer maps might label Plaza Serrano by its recently changed name, Plazoleta Julio de Cortazar, although most portenos, most importantly the taxi drivers, still use the former. -Elizabeth Gleeson
