Lei Yue Mun in Chinese means carp (Lei Yue) gate (Mun), so it is no surprise that this place is related to seafood. Although rapidly modernising, this fishing village still remains a popular destination for seafood lovers. The seafood here is not really any better than anywhere else in Hong Kong, but it is a great experience nevertheless. Visitors can buy their own live seafood from the market stalls and then take it to a nearby restaurant to be cooked any way they like.
