Located in downtown Providence, the building is a class apart from other state houses. The self supporting dome is the fourth largest in the world. The entrance itself promises to take you in a different world. The notable rooms are 'the Bell' room featuring Philadelphia Liberty Bell and Battle flags, The Rotunda is flanked by artistic stairways. Brightly colored paintings of seals adorn the walls, representing values like education and liberty. The Gun Room houses two canons of the Civil War era. Be it the State Library or the Senate Lounge we get to see a perfect blend of art and technology. The oak desks are equipped with electronic voting modules, wired for Internet access and laptop. The hand woven tapestries and the intricate patterns on the ceilings complete the perfect picture.
