The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) is the first formal institute for training performing arts students in Hong Kong. The academy building itself is an award-winning complex, including a wide range of performing venues such as a lyric theater, drama theater, concert hall, recital hall, studio theater, dance studio and an open air theater located in the gardens adjoining the building. The Academy has hosted many successful shows, including the famous Broadway musical Cats. It also hosts free recital and dance shows performed by its students on a regular basis.
