Shui Tau, just like Kat Hing Wai, is another one of the walled villages in the Kam Tin area. Anyone interested in traditional Chinese architecture should definitely make the trip out here. Inside the symbolically decorated ancestral hall, which is in the middle of the village, the ancestors' names are listed on the altar. The hall was built for the clan to worship its forebears, but it is now used as a school in the morning. Even the roofs of the village buildings are decorated with sculpted fish and dragons, a common Chinese symbol for good luck and prosperity.
