Designed by the Spanish architect Alfredo Rodríguez Orgaz, The Placio Arzobispal represents a mixture of architectural styles. Its facade is influenced by the Republican style of the Capitolio Nacional as well as the Italian renaissance. The symbiosis of these two styles is a perfect example of the architecture of the capital. Not only is this palace the residence of the Archbishop but also his administrative center.
