In existence since 1982, this theater is one of the few in Berlin not to have suffered from decreasing ticket sales. Not without good reason - with his colorful mixture of music, cheeky texts and young actors, founder and director Volker Ludwig serves the taste of the kids. Success has not always been so easy to find, as bourgeois scandals about 'shocking' texts rocked the theater in the first few years. Nevertheless, the million seller "Line1" in 1986 officially made Grips the theater of German children and youth drama.
