"Friendly and cozy" was the great writer Thomas Mann's verdict on this little hotel behind the Theater des Westens. Built in 1929, the Savoy survived wartime air-raids and was used as the British Army's headquarters in Berlin after 1945. Reopened as a hotel in the 1950s, the Savoy is an elegant establishment that places great emphasis on tradition.
