This huge theater complex is located right near the Shatin KCR train station, and the New Town Plaza shopping center. The Shatin Town Hall has an auditorium, cultural activities hall and a lecture room. It has served as a Hong Kong Arts Festival venue, and consistently features a high caliber of acts, including the Hong Kong Ballet, Cantonese Opera troupes, piano duos, physical theater shows, and artists-in-residence schemes. Ticket prices are reasonable, and bookings can be made through URBTIX, the local ticketing agency. Inquiries as to programming should be made directly to the theater.
