If you arrive in Finland by boat you will notice a beautiful set of islands on your left just before getting to the harbor. Suomenlinna consists of a group of islands, which in addition to forming an interesting historical site are home to many cultural activities. One of the most popular is the Suomenlinna summer theater, which hosts performances by visiting companies such as Q-teatteri. There are ferry connections between Suomenlinna and the mainland, departing from the Market Square. Normal Helsinki public transport tickets are valid on some of these.
