One of the most famous of the Bigg Market's many "fun" bars, Yel is truly a place to experience the madness of a night out in Newcastle. Step inside and down the stairs that have caught out many an inebriated reveller, and you'll be hit by an atmosphere not unlike a Spanish resort bar or a 'Club 18-30' holiday. Look around you in this nightclub-style pub and you'll see scantily clad bar staff and sometimes dancers who wear even less! Party games offer humiliation for those who want to get up on stage. As you can gather it's all pretty hectic stuff, you won't find many places like it in this country, apart from the rest of the Bigg Market, that is.
Note that the aforementioned stairs make access difficult for those with mobility problems.
