Don't buy the coffee!!
Next door to the cafe is the Cafe Trieste store. There they sell over-priced t-shirts and coffee beans.

I think i will go back to Peets
I bought a Cappuccino at the New Cafe Trieste on Market street this morning June 8, 2006. Now I know why when I got to North Beach i head over to Cafe Roma and not Trieste; the coffee was bitter kind of a burnt taste and after that it leaves an after taste in your mouth. I will NOT be returning
