Luciano's, overlooking the beautiful Port Lucaya, is introducing a new dimension in fine dining, presenting a menu featuring the classical entrees of Europe and traditional Bahamian dishes. Since the 1970s, Luciano's has offered one of the finer dining experiences on Grand Bahama. All ingredients are guaranteed to be fresh and the seafood is purchased daily. A large array of seafood, beef, veal, chicken and other poultry entrees are served. One of the traditional island favorites is the filet of Bahamian grouper almondine, island grouper filet topped with roasted almonds and a lemon butter sauce. Another seafood selection is the sole Poelee Belle meunière, a whole Dover sole sautéed in butter and lemon juice, served with delicate boiled potatoes. Beef dishes include the filet mignon au Roquefort, choice filet broiled to your preference, topped with a custom Roquefort cheese sauce and served with the vegetable of the day, as well as the standard New York strip choice sirloin - center cut sirloin grilled to your preference, served with the vegetable of the day. Complimenting the first class menu is an ample choice of wine, beer and liqueurs. Prices tend to be a bit in the upper echelon but the food is top notch. The moonlit view of the marina is quite stunning from the candlelit tables set with fine flatware. Patrons generally come dressed fairly casually, but Luciano's is more formal than most dining destinations in the area.
