The view of San Francisco from this San Francisco Art Institute Cafe is worth checking out. It features a courtyard with a fountain that lets you take in the sun on a non-foggy San Francisco day. The best part of this dining experience, though, is the chance to join the intense, Bohemian art crowd from the Institute as they discuss technique or sketch quietly over a half-eaten black bean stew. The food itself may be cheap, but it is good, whether bacon, eggs, and hash browns for breakfast or as authentic a plate of red beans and rice as you will find this side of New Orleans.
