Located in sheep-farming and racehorse-breeding country to the west of Christchurch, Langdale is a great place to visit for wine tastings and dining. The vineyard restaurant is located in a large, attractive, French Provincial-style building, while outside there is a delightful, large garden area with a small stream, several picnic tables and a children's playground--a great place for a relaxing family afternoon. Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Petite Syrah and Briedecker wines are all produced here. The vineyard has had recent award-winning success with several of their wines.
