It is nothing but mellow here, with the sort of funky atmosphere that Janis and Jimi would have felt absolutely at home in. Paintings by amateur artists cover the walls while the locals add their own color. The menu, a sort of diner chow meets hippie nirvana, has good food, huge portions, and great prices. The home fries are justly famous. Be prepared for queues outside the eatery on the weekends, but the service is always friendly and quick.
