One of Munich's best-known and largest venues for cabaret, chanson, rock and jazz. There is a disco after the events on Friday and Saturday evenings and it must be one of the hottest, sauciest places in the city - for grown-ups only (e.g. Thirtysomething Parties). No techno music, just classic seventies and eighties funk, soul and rock. The bar in the same building does justice to its name (Wirtshaus im Schlachthof - Slaughterhouse Tavern), serving good, robust Bavarian food at reasonable prices. The lovely little beer garden opens late into the night at weekends.
