Located in back of the Old Fitzgerald Hotel, with an alley entrance and descending staircase, this cozy little wine bar Hidden Vine is fast becoming a favorite kept secret among Bay Area wine lovers, connoisseurs and amateurs alike. The Hidden Vine, though can't stay secret for long, especially after a number of glowing reviews and a place on the SF Bay Guardian's "Best of the Bay 2007" list. Visitors love the comfortable atmosphere with its deep cushy couches, richly-colored decor, and soft candle light. They are equally taken with the unimposing warmth of the two owners, who share their love and knowledge of fine wines with quiet enthusiasm. Each month, the Hidden Vine features wines from different regions, always keeping some excellent California varieties in stock. Fine cheeses, charcuterie, and chocolates are served as well.
