Biblical references aside, Josef’s is the across-the-street partner to Café Maria. As the café closes, the diners and café drinkers drift over from across the street into the hip, loungy confines of Josef’s and switch over to cool creative cocktails. Later in the evening live DJs see to a hip background beat, and sprinning disco balls invite the first dancers to get moving. For late night munchies the bar offers a creative assortment of open faced sandwiches: from Nutella to Brie to Würstchen, smeared generously atop a slice of hearty Bavarian bauernbrot.
