This used to be a petrol station until 1992, but the only fuel they serve nowadays is of the cultural variety. The setting, close to Viktualienmarkt, is far from upmarket, but productions are lively and often very funny. The emphasis is on modern plays, tending towards the experimental. Once a month they do an 'opera & pasta evening' with a delicious choice of pasta dishes and a little music on the side. The adjacent café is a popular meeting place before and after performances.
