The Lach- und Schießgesellschaft Ensemble (Society of Laughter and Shooting) made cabaret history here (and on television) since the 1950s, with Dieter Hildebrand as its main star. This small theater in Schwabing was host to some of the most cutting humour and political satire around. Unfortunately, the ensemble dissolved in 1998 and the theater was completely renovated. Yet two essentials remain the same: the theater is still extremely cramped for space, but still attracts some of the biggest names in German cabaret. Tickets can be booked online.
