Every Tuesday night at the Stud Club, Trannyshack takes over for a night of music, comedy, burlesque, and general raucous, ribald fun and entertainment. A local favorite, Trannyshack is both a San Francisco institution and an obscure cultural pocket of the city's tranny community, which enjoys less public exposure than other Bay Area alternative scenes. Each night includes a variety of dazzling performers for a show that eschews description, it's not strictly a show per se, but a club night, always with a spirit of anything-goes spontaneity. But everyone agrees: come out to Trannyshack and you absolutely will not be disappointed.
