The Purple Onion is a historic 80-seater comedy club. Comedy kings like Lenny Bruce and Woody Allen used to perform here during the 1950s and 60s. In the 90s, the owner made the club the center of garage rock, but in 2004 the club returned to the comedy scene. Weekly comedy nights are something to look forward to here, as live acts promise to keep you in splits.
