This is one of the most important Musical Institutions. It has a permanent Concert Season and a wide variety of concerts ranging beyond classical music standards. Bruno Cagli, the artistic director, hosts not only conductors and soloists of international fame, but also artists of contemporary music such as James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen and Paolo Conte. As well as the many concerts, the Academy also holds a Symphony and Chamber Music season, the latter with recitals held every Friday. For the last few years during the winter, there has also been a festival dedicated to music for children. The Association of the Friends of Saint Cecilia organize monthly meetings where famous music experts present the season's artists.
