The Accademia was built in 1850 and still looks the same today. For a long time it was used as a cinema-theater. Now it mostly offers chamber music but the popular music concerts and ethnical dance music shows are also very popular. The concert season lasts from October to June every Thursday, with performances taking place in the Teatro Olimpico. All other performances are in the Sala Casella. The Academy holds singing and musical education classes during the winter.
