Dance Theater Hurjaruuth was founded at the beginning of the 1980s, and followed in the footsteps of the already well established dance companies Raatikko and Kom Theater. For the past years their home has been at Kaapelitehdas, and, like Raatikko, this company tours around Finland as well as abroad. It has performed in countries such as the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Estonia, Sweden and Norway. Kaapelitehdas in itself is very interesting as a venue; you will find galleries, museums, dance studios, art schools, sports clubs and other thing in this multifunctional building. It is situated in Ruoholahti, easily accessible on tram number 8 or buses going towards Espoo from the city center.
