Raivoisat Ruusut (the Raging Roses) bring a female aspect to the Finnish theater world. They started with one performance, but became so popular that they soon established a permanent company with a home on the corner of Fredrikinkatu and Punavuorenkatu. The first performance was a production of Shakespeare's Henry V, using 34 female actresses. Raivoisat Ruusut also cooperates with the Open University Theater Academy, organising lectures, poetry readings and dance performances.
