Theater Jurkka was founded in 1953 by Emmi and Vappu Jurkka, and moved to its current premises as early as 1954. This space is more intimate than any other in Finland; the actors come close enough practically to be touched. In Jurkka you can listen to poetry and see classic plays as well as the theater's own productions. Tickets can be bought at the theater or through Lippupalvelu.
