P1 is one of Munich's most famous clubs for the rich and famous. Tennis player Boris Becker and the stars of Bayern Munich FC are no strangers to this establishment, which is frequented (almost exclusively) by wealthy men and pretty women. P1 is no longer as elitist as it was before moving to larger rooms in the Haus der Kunst. The new premises house a big dancefloor, which blares out Bavarian folk music. In fact, the only difference between this and a village dance hall is the name, the fame and the exorbitant prices. Snobbish staff and picky doormen add the finishing touches to the scene.
