Music, madness, jamming, jumping and lots of beach cricket, not to mention Antigua's most enjoyable full moon party best describes this very funky spot. Two former cricket heroes, David Folby and Richie Richardson, decided it was time to party and created Lashings. Very laid back—the bar sits on the beach, and the restaurant and has a large dining patio outside. The clientele includes a business crowd, but primarily tourists during the weekdays. In the evenings, it becomes the bar to hang out after work and Friday nights are a riot. Service is turtle-like. Lots of munchie foods like nachos drenched in meat sauce and cheese or goat cheese salad with tomatoes and rotis dominate the menu. The make a very delicious English breakfast if you're really hungry. Of course, the bar is well stocked from morning to night, so if a rum and coke is what you fancy at 9a, place your bill on the table and say, cheers. You will no doubt have a ball at Lashings.
