This classic San Franciscan bar, located below the former Cable Car Theater, is literally accessed via a slide. What is known today as Slide was the former Cafe Dans, which served as a speakeasy for illegal gambling and spirits during prohibition. Ladies make sure to wear pants if you come for the slide, skirts and shorts are prohibited due to "slide burn."
