Down off of Highway 17 in Charleston, South Carolina, there's a place where the air is sticky and the beach music blares till last call. That place is J.B. Pivot's Club and it's home to the preservation of Carolina's own beach music and shag dancing. On any given night you can walk in to find either a beach music and shag dancing vinyl party, or one of many local cover bands covering the old doo-wop standards. Drop in for a bit of nostalgia, or perhaps be introduced to a great era in American music.
