23 Club, founded in 1941 in Brisbane, is almost as old as the city itself. During the great gold rush, this club used to be a regular haunt of gold miners and local residents alike. Many a famous performer including Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline have performed here and are enshrined in the walls of the club. Today it features every kind of music from Latino and Salsa to Honky Tonk and Hip Hop.
