Pewter is an alloy of tin, copper and antimony. This factory is where pewter wares have been made for over a century and is the largest of its kind in the world. A Chinese immigrant, Yong Koon pioneered pewter handicraft, in 1885. Since then, the Malaysian pewter industry has grown into a multi-million dollar business and Malaysian pewter products have become a household name all over the world. Outside, visitors can view the largest pewter mug in the world, whilst inside, a guided tour takes them through the various processes of pewter manufacture. You can also but from their factory store, and will also arrange to courier it for you if you so desire.
