The biggest jousting tournament in the world takes place every July at Schloss Kaltenberg. Bold knights in heavy armor engage in breathtaking contests and storytellers, jugglers and fire-eaters entertain the crowds. Earthenware is available at the adjoining craft market and refreshment comes in the shape of barbecued meat and home-brewed beer. Children and adults can enjoy a full day's entertainment, but be careful to check the program. Feel free to join in too, if you dare!
