The current incarnation of Northumbria University came about in 1992 after nearly three decades of being separated into the Rutherford College of Technology, the Municipal College of Commerce, and the College of Art and Industrial Design. The university offers programmes from law to graphic design and has state of the art facilities that house all the resources necessary for students to complete quality work. The campus also has three bars (Bar One, Red, and The Venue) that hold a hold a wide variety of events for students looking to take a load off.
