In addition to views of West Jerusalem and St. John in the Desert's Monastery, Nahal Sordek, one of the largest and most complex water systems, is located along the hike. Along the 4.5km trail examine the large 43m X 9.5m high dam in Wadi Yussuf. Travellers have called it the "Little Western Wall" because its style, time period and structure resembles Jerusalem's wall. Explore water filled tunnels and bring a flashlight for navigation. Natural swimming pools are located along the route. For more information, including trail maps, the Society for Protection of Nature in Israel.
