This late 16th-century villa was built thanks to the whim of Ottavio Mascherino, and was designed by the architect Tommaso Martelli. The magnificent Italian garden and the elegant façade create a harmony of forms in the complex which takes your breath away. This is due to the Cardinal Filippo Guastavillani who lived here for a long time. The Cardinal's bedrooms was decorated with frescoes by Denijs Calvaert, while other frescoes were carried out by Orazio Samacchini.
