Densely covered with mangroves, this park is Singapore's first designated wetland nature reserve and home to an immense variety of birds and mangrove wildlife. It offers four walking routes, 10 observation points and 87 hectares of aquatic plant ponds, freshwater ponds, prawn farms, mangroves and swamps. Sunbirds, egrets, kingfishers and mudskippers are some common sightings, while migratory birds like the shorebirds and sandpipers are caught in action between September and March. The viewing tower allows you to get a fantastic view of the park and its two rivers.
