A good couple of hours
There is so much to do in this are of Signapore. The Raffles Hotel is near by. A good half dozen memorials. The Durians are near by. Start from the chopsticks and work your wat to the Singapore River. This area represents much of colonial Singapore and there is a lot to just see and absorb. Suntec City and Raffles Place are also near by if you feel the need to do some shopping too.

I am never going back!
I recently had purchased the cheaper tickets for West Side Story from the online SISTIC site. The seats are advertised as 'with restricted view'. One can be fooled into thinking that at least 60-70% of the stage would be visible. However, what I ended up getting after paying 40$ per tickets were Circle 3 seats which are so bad that you might as well skip visiting the theatre. Not only are they located on the sides, they also block the view of te stage. As a result, what you end up seeing is just one edge of the stage. They might as well have been called 'no view tickets' since you miss out on all the on-stage action.
