Take a stroll on a 805-metre raised timber boardwalk and discover a mature secondary forest that has been protected from as early as 1912. Records maintain that this 200-hectare land is home to more than 840 flowering plants, 100 ferns and 245 animal species. Signboards along the trail highlight some of these species - pitcher plants, long-tailed macaques, flying lemurs, oriental whip snakes and white-throat kingfishers. The trail then passes by a stream and arrives at the banks of the Lower Pierce Reservoir - a great place to chill out while listening to birds crooning in the background.
