Situated in Villenviertel and right by the Rhine is the Freibad Rüngsdorf. It was modernised and completely renovated in 1993, and you can catch a wonderful view of the Siebengebirge and Petersberg from here. The sports pool is fifty metres long, the diving pool is 18m by 18m and has diving boards at 5m, 7.5m and 10m. Kids have great fun swimming here; there are water tubes, a whirlpool, a counter-current swimming area and a wild water channel. Adults can pamper themselves in the massage area, and the swimming pool's own bistro is available for refreshments. The whole complex is accessible for wheelchairs.
