The Chinese Historical Society of America, serves both as a museum and as a learning center. The permanent exhibition chiefly showcases the history of Chinese people in the US, especially of the times when they immigrated in a slew, during 19th century. The artifacts, documents and photographs, all have their respective bilingual description in Chinese and English. The museum gives credit to the Chinese laborers for the development they enthused in America—agriculture, fishing, mining, railroad and more. The photographs on display proudly exhibit their contribution to the West.
