Monster Park is the football stadium that will never die. Although it is currently named Monster Park, this field has a long tradition in the Bay Area. It was originally known as Candlestick Park, owing to its location on Candlestick Point. With the rise of corporate sports sponsorships, the "Stick" was known as 3Com Park, for the telecom giant. This naming gave way to the current moniker, Monster Park, after the industrial cable manufacturer.
