Enthralling the crowds since 1927, Coronado Performing Arts Center is a landmark theatre in Rockford. Its stately and old world charm was retained despite recent renovations, which brought the theatre back to its former glory. The design includes inspiration from European villas, Chinese dragons and a beautiful faux star-studded sky. Bob Dylan, the Marx Brothers, Frank Sinatra, and George Gershwin are known to have performed here. Touring production companies, Broadway events, live concerts, and performances by the Rockford Symphony Orchestra also take place from time to time.
